Dear Reader
Thanks for your responses to my previous email, over the next few emails each week I’ll be sharing simple and sustainable techniques that prevent hip pain or future injury. Ready for your first technique?
Steal my top technique for hip pain relief
Over the years I have tried many techniques to help with hip pain relief.
It's difficult to choose just one as there are techniques that help at different times, depending on how I’ve felt and what I need. Working with clients the same technique can feel different to different people.
I’ve chosen a simple connective tissue technique to share with you as I know this brings relief to many people and one I turn to again and again, even 10 years after hip surgery!
Give it a go and click reply and tell me how you got on or if you have any questions!

Mindful Movement
🧘♀️ always encourage clients to find time for rest and recovery in their day, week and month. However, clients often start off with recovery techniques and when they feel a bit better they stop. I’m still using this technique 10 years after having surgery, because it works! Rest and Recovery are essential and there are many ways to add this into our routine. Myofascial release or connective tissue release is one of my favourite ways to move the body to aid recovery.
Try this simple myofascial release technique, whenever you experience pain or it’s great after a run, cycle, walk, a long day sitting in the car or at a desk or before bed.
Simple
🌿 Start simple, by trying this myofascial release techniques a few times per week. Allowing yourself to feel the tissues relax and release don’t overthink the exact position or what you're supposed to feel.
Sustainable
Schedule a regular myofascial release practice, this can lead to reduced stress, less tension in the muscles which will improve circulation. Keep your myofascial release ball next to your bed, or in the living room, somewhere it's easy to reach and access.
Prevention
Don’t just turn to myofascial release when you’re in pain, a regular myofascial release practice even once a month or once a week can help the mind body connection. As I mentioned, 10 years later it;s a still a regular practice for me to ensure my hips stay healthy, mobile and pain free!
