Dear Reader
Good afternoon, I hope everyone is enjoying this glorious sunshine!
Kev and I were chatting this morning about our clients. I was telling him about a client who came in yesterday for her last session on the Hip & Back programme — she told me her back "went" recently, and for a second I felt so disappointed for her, my brain automatically trying to work out why.
But as she explained it and she'd clearly thought it through, because she knew I'd ask lots of questions. I noticed she was smiling. She said this time felt like such a positive, because before, something like this would have meant a week off work and being extra cautious with every movement. This time she was back on her yoga mat by day 2, following the programme we'd built together, and felt confident in her movement.
As I told this story, Kev looked at me and said, "I know what you're going to say", clients tell us this all the time. Recovery gets faster.
Even in our own bodies after years of pain and treatment, we're both pain-free now, but we still get the odd niggle. A treatment or two, plus a few additional tools, and we're back to our normal selves. Carrying a 4-year-old, walking two large dogs, and hauling backpacks and bikes while running after Ella, I'd like to say with ease, thats not he right word but we can do it!
I've been thinking recently about how we share the work we do . . .
We've been working on some case studies and testimonials from clients recently, and while I want to share their stories, I won't be sharing photos or videos of what actually happens inside our treatment room, that's a personal, safe space, and I want to keep it that way. Any videos you do see of what we offer on socials or our website are set up specifically for that. We might not capture and share a real moment with a client and I'm okay with that, because I don't think it's something that belongs on social media. Social media is a great way to share our business and what we offer, but I'm conscious about what we share.
