Did you see our news? We representing Scotland in the Massage Olympics . . .

Dear Reader

If you're on social media you may have seen ur news in this post.

So we're calling it the massage olympics between ourselves but seriously we have both been asked to represent Scotland in the National Massage Tournament (in Paris in October).

And yes, it is a thing and full transparency, when we were first contacted about this we initially we thought it was a scam. But after meetings with the team leader to find out more we agreed to be part of team Scotland.

Jo will be taking part in the bodywork category representing not only Scotland but also KCR and Yoga Therapy.

Kev will be taking part in the Ayurveda Massage category and have to admit, Massage is not how I thought I would ever represent Scotland and I wonder if anyone has ever done Ayurveda Massage in a Kilt 🤔

This is the first time Scotland have entered the competition and is an incredible honour, but it also comes with significant costs. As an independent team, we are responsible for funding every aspect of our journey ourselves.

The team are aiming to raise £3,500 to help cover expenses and have set up a Go Fund Me and we would be extremely grateful for any donation you can.

We have reached an amazing £2406 at the time of writing his and are feeling very overwhelmed and supported right now.

Any amount you can donate would be greatly appreciated and if you know of any companies that offer sponsorship for sporting events or would be wiling to sponsor our team with clothing, embroidery, equipment, please get in touch.

We’d also really love for you to share our social media, like comment, share and support us online as we share our journey with you.

Thanks so much for your support.

Love

Jo & Kev

Dear Reader The Countdown is On! Four weeks until the Nations Massage Tournament in Paris and honestly I don’t feel ready so this week I’m in preparation mode. We’ve had family visiting from Australia for the past few weeks so it's been full but lovely catching up. Last week I was writing press releases, blog posts, updating our Google listing, tidying up profiles so that if anyone does go looking for us, they can actually find us. Not the glamorous part of running a business, but it needs...

Dear Reader We've just had a weekend in Millport for my Dad's 70th. Paddleboarding, swimming, cycling, walking, we were outside nearly the whole time and everyone came home tired in a good way. The raft race was on, which was brilliant to watch, and we found a few fishing spots for my Dad. I needed it. I've been running on Basal for weeks while Kev had shingles, most likely below Basal, if I'm honest. This week is the first normal one I've had in a while, so I'm back to Tend. (If you missed...

Dear Reader This week in the clinic, I found myself smiling because I heard something I hear almost every week. "I've bought a new mattress." "I've tried orthopaedic insoles." "I've got one of those massage guns." "I even changed my office chair." Honestly, if I had £1 for every client who told me they'd bought a new mattress, ergonomic chair, pillow, insoles or massage gun in the hope it would fix their back pain... I'd probably be writing this newsletter from a beach somewhere. Now, before...
