15 minutes to help your body do what it can't seem to do on its own — sleep, settle, or switch off the pain. This is the practice I use with clients who aren't sleeping, are in pain, recovering from injury or illness, or running on empty as a new mum.
And you don't even need to leave you bed, if you don't want to!
15 minutes, lying down, doing nothing — and somehow that's exactly what gets you to sleep, settles the pain, or finally switches your mind off.
“Your Yoga Nidra recording has saved my life a few times this week, thank you”
A free audio recording and short instruction video, so you know exactly how to practise Yoga Nidra and what (if anything) you need to get the most restorative experience — all from your bed, no equipment required.
What the Research says
Yoga Nidra has been shown to have a positive effect on insomnia, chronic pain, pregnancy aches, anxiety, and stress. It works on both the physiological and psychological sides of pain — the racing mind and the tense, exhausted body that comes with it.
Nidra means "sleep." In this recording, you'll be guided into a state where the body rests as deeply as it does in sleep, but the mind stays just aware enough to reach the deeper layers underneath the pain, the noise, and the exhaustion.
This isn't a postures practice — you don't need to move, stretch, or "do" anything. If you're in pain, recovering from an injury or surgery, stressed, overwhelmed, or a new mum running on no sleep, this is one of the few practices that asks nothing physical of you at all.
Most of my clients don't know how to rest. This is the easiest place to start.
